ARK: Ascended
Are you ready to experience the ultimate survival adventure in a stunning new world? If you are a fan of ARK: Survival Evolved, you will be thrilled to know that a remake of the game is coming soon, with enhanced graphics, gameplay, and features. It’s called ARK: Survival Ascended, and it’s coming to Xbox Series, PC, and PS5 in October 2023.
ARK: Survival Ascended is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the original ARK: Survival Evolved game, which was released in 2017. The remake will feature a visual overhaul using Nanite, Lumen, and RTXDI technologies, as well as dynamic water, interactive foliage, and an updated art style. The game will also offer performance boosts, crossplay, anti-cheat, and cross-platform modding support.
In addition to the graphical and technical improvements, ARK: Survival Ascended will also introduce a number of quality-of-life enhancements and new content. Some of the new features include a third-person camera, a ping system, an updated mini-map, queueing, balance passes, directional sprinting and walking, new structures, and more. The game will also integrate Survival of the Fittest mode into the main game, with dedicated balancing, improvements, and bug fixes.
However, not everything will be available at launch. The game will be released as an early access title, with DLC content released over time. The base game will only include The Island map at launch, with Scorched Earth coming in December 2023, Ragnarok and Aberration in Q1 2024, and the rest of the maps beyond then. The DLC packs will also be sold separately, so you will need to rebuy them if you already own them on the original game.
The developers of ARK: Survival Ascended have stated that they are working hard to deliver a tremendous next-gen ARK experience that meets both the players’ expectations and their own. They have also apologised for the delay and the price change of the game. The game will now launch at an early access price point of $44.99 with a launch-discount bringing it to $39.99.
